Boland Wine Cellar, Cape Town

Built on a section of the farm Nieuwedrift, on the outskirts of Noorder-Paarl, Boland Wine Cellar pressed its first grapes in 1948. Today, Boland Cellar has over 110 members supplying grapes from a wide area surrounding the Paarl Valley, including Durbanville, Klipheuwel and Paardeberg. Boland Wine Cellar has a charming tasting venue. The fact that it is situated underground contributes to its unique atmosphere. During the festive season, visitors can enjoy light meals here, and in the winter months a special program is offered. The cellar also specializes in private wine tastings for wine clubs.
