De Akker is located on the historic Dorp Street in the center of Stellenbosch. De Akker is dutch for "the acorn" and is one of the oldest pubs in town. Popular among the older students of Stellenbosch University, the affordable drinks and a simple pub menu make De Akker the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks with friends without the loud music of clubs. De Akker offers indoor and alfresco seating although it is rather limited, so be sure to arrive earlier in the evening because it fills up quickly.
