Overview
The SMAC or Stellenbosch Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery has been open since 2006 and is located in the De Wet Center in the heart of Stellenbosch. Just next door to the SMAC is SMAC Space, a new exhibit featuring a rotating lineup of artists. SMAC recently hosted the well known Erik Laubscher, and aims to promote local artists and South African art to the international stage. SMAC is open seven days a week until 17:00.
