Overview
Opened in 1910, this church was once the smallest church in the Transvaal province as it only measured 20 feet by 2 feet. In the early 1900s a group of Methodists started worshiping at the home of the Ritchie family which led to the official opening of this church. By 1938, enough money had been raised to build a bigger church on a three quarter acre plot. Parktown North Methodist Church is centrally located one block away from the main Jan Smuts Avenue interchange.
