Tangaroa Strawberry Farm is a working farm situated just off the R560 on Hekpoort road. The farm is open to the public all year round, and visitors are invited to pack a picnic basket or have a barbecue and enjoy a day of quiet relaxation next to the dam. Guests can also book special picnic baskets from Tangaroa directly by phoning at least 24 hours in advance. During the strawberry season, get there early and pick your own organically grown strawberries and mulberries. The Fraise Restaurant and Tea Garden on Tangaroa farm is open on weekends during the strawberry season for light meals and decadent strawberry delights.
