Cynthia's, Pretoria

An old favourite in Pretoria, Cynthia's serves excellent classic dishes in equally classic surroundings. The original owners continue to preside over this highly successful, well-appointed suburban restaurant with a congenial bar, four private function rooms and smaller wine room. Co-owner JP Meyer prepares award-winning dishes for corporate, embassy and other happy diners. Old favorites as well as pub lunches and executive takeouts are served. Dishes include deep-fried brie with sesame seeds, redcurrant sauce and mint jelly, Chinese chicken salad, rump steak with a creamy champagne and mustard sauce.
