One of Nelspruit's most popular attractions, the Lowveld National Botanical Gardens offer visitors the chance to explore 150 hectares of stunning terrain. Straddling the Nels and Crocodile rivers, this garden is a model of biodiversity, with some 600 naturally occurring and 200 introduced plant species spread across a beautiful landscape that ranges from rocky gorges to breathtaking waterfalls. The gardens are open 8:00-18:00, September through March, and 8:00-17:00, April through August. Admission is R17 for adults, R10 for students, and R7 for children.
