The Fencing Hall is located inside the National Convention Center and will serve as home base for the fencing events during the Summer 2008 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. It will also serve as a venue in the Modern Pentathlon. With 14 fencing strips, a warm-up room, stands for thousands of fans, a television broadcasting room, and lounge and shower facilities, this is indeed a fencing heaven. After the games, the facility will become a conference center and banquet center. There are also numerous features aimed at lowering the environmental impact of the hall including increase in energy savings and water conservation.
