Mei Mansion, Beijing

Once the home of an opera singer Mei Lanfang, the Mei Mansion is now an elite Chinese restaurant. With pebbled floors, fountains running through and the dining rooms laid with various antiques, the place has an old world charm combined with sophistication. The food at Mei Mansion is absolutely fantastic, especially dishes like "Hors d'Oeuvres of chopped quail", "Crayfish", "Bruised Pork Ribs", "Fish or Shrimp filled Dumplings" and "Stir Fried Beef with pickled Green Chillies". Although the prices may be a bit steep its completely worth it and an excellent place to enjoy a fine meal.
