Overview
A pair of palm trees alerts diners that this is like no other restaurant in Beijing, and indeed it is not. This restaurant is destined for Hawaii, Tahiti or Bali instead of northern China. The walls are rock faces speckled with flowers. Long tanks of tropical fish divide the three dining chambers. Music from Hawaii, Brazil and a distant conga drum emanate from a blue ceiling dotted with white stars. The scorpion is a mixed drink, but the donkey meat seems authentic. Try the lemon shrimp or scallops with bacon, steaks, salads and coffee.
