Overview
This beautiful old theater was once shut down by the authorities but is now coming back slowly and with occasional performances. An Anglo-Iranian named Ghaffar Pourazar, who is trained to sing and dance traditional Peking Opera and specializes in portraying the lovable rogue Monkey King, is resurrecting the theater by staging performances with English-language interpretations. Various Peking opera classics are performed. This place opens its gate to public daily from 7:30 p.m. onwards.
