Overview
Built in 1945 this temple is massive in size (20,000 square meters) making it a great in-city attraction that is easy to reach. Parked at the base of Zhangshan Hill in Taipingshan Park, it features five halls and one pagoda, displaying classic forms of Chinese architecture. Its interior houses stunning displays of Buddhist sculptures and scriptures. If time allows, stroll through the adjacent Botanical Gardens and Cemetery of Martyrs.
