Overview
The origin of the celebrated town of "Qibao" meaning "Seven Treasures" dates back to the Five Dynasties era. Although the local temple it gets its name from is now obsolete, its celestial and serene aura continues to linger despite the contagious buzz that persists. Traditional Chinese lanterns don the crowded streets that are lined with commercial establishments popular among tourist throngs as well as inhabitants. Indulge in sumptuous local delicacies like Hong Shao Rou, a braised version of pork, or adventurous alternatives like insects at the corner eatery while soaking in the culture and taking in the sights of picturesque corbel wood roofs, exemplary of Chinese architecture.
