Overview
Arguably the best and most internationally renowned gallery for contemporary Chinese art, ShanghART took some time to build its reputation. The Swiss owner, Lorenz Helbling, claims he is probably the first contact for local and international admirers of modern Chinese art in China. The contracted artists at this gallery have been shown at international exhibitions and are crossing over from being only recognized as Chinese artists to being known as artists in their own right. Individual and group exhibitions are featured frequently.
