Despite this small restaurant's "look-at-me" setting in the four-star it still exudes a throwback atmosphere. The kitchen favors robatayaki style grilling (a Japanese old-style form of cooking), which favors seafood and vegetables. Yakitori is also offered (by-the-book chefs use every part of the chicken so opt for a different dish if you are squeamish) as is sushi and sashimi. Special parties should phone ahead for the tatami room.
