Cherry Blossom, Bali

Heading out toward the rice fields of northwest Ubud is Cherry Blossom, a pleasant dim sum eating house that is perennially busy, despite the out of the way location. Unlike the usual frenetic paced conveyor belt atmosphere of similar Chinese eateries, this is a more laid back and leisurely affair, and offers very cheap eats for Ubud standards. You can snack on a wide variety of dumplings, such as Har Gow prawns, Siu Mai and Shanghai Buns. A la carte main meals include Char Sui pork, Peking Duck, and Hainan chicken. The decor is simple, but tasteful, and service surprisingly efficient and attentive. - Ray Montgomery
