Electric Avenue, Bali

The neat and stylish decor suggests otherwise, but this is a hard rockin' live music bar with a deafening sound system. Electric Avenue is situated right in the heart of Kuta's clubbing district and hosts live bands nightly until 3am. It offers a raw, highly charged atmosphere and a great late night party vibe. Entry is free all night for visiting tourists and although drinks are expensive, there are excellent early evening promotions on beer and food most nights. The interior is bright and brassy with rustic furnishings, chrome and dazzling neon lighting. There is also a seperate VIP lounge for members and private functions. Music policy is predominantly loud rock and indie covers with each night featuring DJ sets, too. - Ray Montgomery
