Garlic Lane, Bali

Garlic Lane is a new addition to Legian's dining scene, and offers for the first time Mediterranean cuisine in authentic surroundings for a good price. The décor is stylish and functional with a neutral color scheme and bright modern art prints adorning its walls. The food can be loosely described as modern European, however, there are one or two old school favorites such as chicken chasseur in white wine and prawn cocktail. Options weigh heavily in favor of French and Italian dishes, but other options include Spanish paella and Greek souvlaki. There is also a good selection of freshly baked sandwiches and an inventive dessert list which features crème caramel, lemon cheesecake and apple strudel. - Ray Montgomery
