Eastern Promise, Jakarta

Located in the fashionable expat enclave of Kemang in South Jakarta, Eastern Promise has a varied clientele comprising of both expatriates and locals alike. Inside, you have all the things that a traditional bar should have such as a special area to play darts and a nine foot billiards table. But the bar also has other things to offer as well including free Wi-Fi connections and imported newspapers from the UK. Keeping with the British theme, the bar offers a range of British/Indian curries, tasty homemade pies, and full breakfasts. If the smoke gets too much for you or you simply need a breath of fresh air, then head out the back to where the pleasant beer garden is located. There is also live music on some nights.
