Jalan Sabang, Jakarta

Besides Jalan Menteng, locals are flocking in city central's Jalan Sabang for its street food at night. Satays, nasi goreng (fried rice) and noodles (Bakmi Roxy stall is recommended) are most popular. But for those who prefer air-conditioned building, there are mixture of Padang (North Sumatera) food, Middle-eastern food and steaks with local flavor just around the corner. Like an homage to the good old time, Duta Suara music shop in the middle of the street is famous for hard-to-find cassettes and CDs while other stores around are selling knick-knacks and local toys that are hardly exist in the modern world.
