Raja Kuring Restaurant, Jakarta

Raja Kuring is a restored 400-year-old Dutch warehouse in Jakarta's old Dutch district of Kota in the northern part of the city. But although the building has been faithfully restored with huge teak windows, there is little inside to remind us of time's past except for the massive wooden pillars. Gourmet lovers will not be disappointed, however, as the restaurant has a very extensive menu which focuses mainly on seafood and tasty Sundanese cuisine from West Java. All in all, this is the perfect place for people who enjoy good food rather than fancy interiors. And if you want something to do after your meal, you can always sing: karaoke facilities are available!
