Overview
Directly adjacent to Taman Prasasti (Park of Memorial Stones), this small and unusual museum was developed to highlight the various methods of traditional burial in Indonesia. Photographs and objects on display relate to burials in the open air (performed in Trunyan, Bali), in a boat (commonly practiced in Irian Jaya) and in a jar (as done in Anyer, Melolo and Tomok, Bali). This is a unique and fascinating examination of the sepulchral culture of Indonesian minorities, such as the aborigines.
