Overview
Aburayama is a mountain forest sanctuary for hundreds of species of plants and animals, including homo sapiens. Overlooking Fukuoka City form the south, the Citizen's Forest has a number of attractions for the visitor: a barbecue area, a world tree garden with 3,000 trees from 46 countries, observation decks, grass skiing, a rope-way obstacle course, hiking trails, a nature center, wildlife observation cottages, campgrounds, a "beetle forest," and a field for picnics or play.
