Easy to find and easy to love, Aji no Masafuku is the place to go for fresh fish. There is no English menu, but this is hardly a problem--everything tastes great! Point, pantomime or rely on the wisdom of your waitress--whatever you end up with, you will not be disappointed. The yakiaji teishoku (grilled fish set) is a good place to start. The fish is soft and flavorful, and comes with miso soup, rice and tsukemono (pickles). At your table you will find some of Fukuoka's tastiest furikake (to sprinkle on your rice). Those who are not fond of fish need not feel left out--both the tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) and the miso nasu (miso eggplant) will leave you as satisfied as your fish-loving friends.
