This bright, cheerful place is somewhat of a restaurant cum pub. Its atmosphere appropriately matches the name of the restaurant. Ebisu, one of the seven gods of fortune, is the patron of commerce and prosperity. Beneath his mirthful smile and the large fish he carries over his shoulder is a big belly from partaking in food & drink. Those who dine here may be put in similar spirits, and given the taste and cost of the food, may leave with equally large bellies. Although this restaurant is basically Japanese, it is unlike an izakaya. There are tables and chairs and a small bar. Its decor, too, resembles that of a more generic cafe in America or Europe. The clientele tends to be mixed, but mostly young adult. Ebisu Kitchen is particularly popular among women. Open monday to friday noon and 5:30pm and on saturdays and sundays from non onwards.
