Overview
Located toward the end of Oyafuko Street is this tiny park where your night may begin--if verbal talents are in fine order. While people often choose it as a meeting place, the park is more commonly know as a "nanpa" (pick-up) spot at night. Girls decked out in their most attractive clothing sit in groups, waiting for friends or guys to offer an invitation somewhere. Young men put on their best act, and sometimes succeed in escorting women to bars, clubs, and karaoke. During the day, the park is unremarkable, with people eating packed lunches during work breaks. A police box on the corner ensures the safety of all.
