Nanak, Hiroshima

This excellent restaurant offers a good selection of curries, tandoori dishes, nan and samosa. Like most Indian restaurants, Nanak is an excellent choice for vegetarians and mixed parties, as the English speaking management can assure the visitor which dishes are meat and animal product free. Spiciness slides on a scale from zero to 50. Five is considered hot, and 10 very hot. The imagination fails to grasp what a 50-strength curry might taste like. Lunch sets include a choice of curry, nan, and even lassi, the sweetened yogurt drink that does an excellent job of neutralizing the spices.
