Overview
Built in the style of traditional gardens from Sichuan province in China, this garden commemorates Hiroshima's friendship with the city Chongqing. Behind low walls and latticed windows that separate the garden from passing traffic, you will find a walking path, carefully tended and manicured trees and bushes, strategically placed rocks and boulders, and gazebos situated around a central pond. The gazebos offer especially nice vantages from which to admire the play of water and light in this "natural" setting. A favorite with elderly locals, this park makes a fine place from which to watch sunsets. Admission is free.
