Hill of Tara (The), Kyoto

The Hill of Tara is a welcome new addition to Kyoto's dining and drinking scene. The stylish two-story pub/restaurant is situated just behind the Kyoto Hotel in the downtown area. The original wooden features were all imported from Ireland and the layout is the work of an Irish architect. Add to this a genuine Irish master chef and you have all the right ingredients for an original and authentic Irish night out. There is draught Guinness and Kilkenny and a selection of Irish whiskeys and other spirits to get you in the mood. Slainte! The food menu includes such Irish favorites as: Smoked Irish salmon, chicken liver pate, chicken with seafood filling, beef, mushroom and Guinness pie, lamb stew and dishes for vegetarians. The chef also produces a full Saturday and Sunday dinner menu.
