Nosh Green, Kyoto

Woodsy, friendly, cafe-bar near Kinkakuji Temple that is popular with students and the younger crowd. The place has a homey, 'lived-in' feel, yet gets quite lively later on. It has some seating by the window that overlooks the entrance. It also has stools at the counter in the event that you want to chat up the waitresses. Larger tables are available farther inside. The English menu has a good selection of American-style finger food, including pizza, hot-dogs, french fries and burgers. Nosh Green also offers more substantial fare, such as pasta, fried rice and curries. On the liquid front, Nosh Green offers a fine selection of bottled beers, and cold draft and many cocktails and spirits.
