Overview

As its name implies, Yuri is a coffee shop that offers its patrons a nice selection of jazz with both recordings and videos of some of the best of the genre. Established in 1968, the small and intimate interior exhibits a nice patina of age. A good spot for lunch, Yuri also offers the popular Japanese curry. Easy to find, it is located on a corner and, like many traditional shops in Japan, has a statue of a tanuki (raccoon), an animal native to Japan and considered good luck, standing at the entrance and playing what looks like a saxophone.
