Overview
Daisen Park was created in 1947 as a buffer zone around the burial mound of Emperor Nintoku, a site rich in history. Visitors can stroll around the mound, through the Japanese Garden (laid out in commemoration the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Osaka) or on the Grand Lawn Area. Points of interest such as the Central City Library, Peace Tower, Sakai City Museum and Bicycle Museum are scattered throughout the park. Festivals, sports and other events are held at the park throughout the year.
