German Farm Grill, Tokyo

Once you step into German Farm Grill, you will think you've stepped onto a different continent. The interior of the restaurant looks like an old-fashioned alehouse, from the rich wood carvings and wrought-iron chandeliers to the brick fireplace and stained glass windows. German Farm Grill lives up to its name, serving strictly authentic German fare. Most beers on tap and bottled are German, and the wide variety ranges from light to very dark. Prices vary depending on drink and size, but generally a bottle is around 9JPY--expensive, but not outrageously so, considering you're in Japan. On the food menu you will find things like Lentils with Frankfurters, Hungarian Style Stewed Beef Goulash, and Warmed White and Green Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce. If you can't decide what you want, try the Grill Wursteller—you get four different varieties of grilled sausage, served with sauerkraut, German potatoes, and a spicy mustard dipping sauce.
