While it sounds like something out of Alice in Wonderland, the Magical Artroom is a serious art establishment actively searching for new and undiscovered, young, up-and-coming Japanese and Asian artists. But wait—there's more! The Magical Artroom, the brainchild of a group of like-minded, forward-thinking, creative individuals, also publishes an international magazine, runs a funky cafe, a record label, creates podcasts and basically extends their tentacles as far and wide as they can. The Magical Artroom is an artspace at its core, but rather than just being a place to display art, it makes conscious efforts to strategically morph itself into whatever form necessary to ferret out and provoke debate on a myriad of artistic, social and political subjects.
