Namco Namjatown, Tokyo

A multifarious theme park housed in a high-rise building-what a great idea! Namja Town is actually 4 distinct areas: Ice Cream City, where you can taste-test flavors from around the world; Tokyo Dessert Republic, made up of 7 individual shops offering various yummies; Ikebukuro Gyoza Stadium, where you can wander about tasting gyoza (dumplings) from across Japan; and the Healing Forest, where reflexologists will do their best to chill you out. On top of that, there are rides and games, too. Usually mobbed by families, it's not uncommon to find both teenagers and dating couples partaking in the Namja experience. While it can be a bit fatiguing, Namco Namjatown is a great rainy-day activity, so wear loose pants and enjoy the smorgasbord of delights. - Stephen Lebovits
