Overview
Although advance reservations are necessary to enter the museum, one can enjoy the building by simply visiting the garden (Kyu Furukawa Gardens). Meiji Period architect Josiah Conder designed the western-style house, which was built in 1917 for the Furukawa company. In 1982 the Tokyo Metropolitan government made the building a cultural asset. A famous Kyoto designer, Jihei Ogawa, is responsible for the lovely Japanese-style garden. Admission: JPY150 (garden only)
