Overview
Situated on a street corner and resembling a shanty-style, roadhouse bar, with beer crate seats, bare, hanging light bulbs and a very distinctive odor, Uroko is a place to eat fish and drink alcohol. More the former than the latter. While you can order distinct dishes, many opt for the platters, which offer a mixed-bag of seasonal fair. If you're squeemish, this is not the place for you as your food arrives only half-dead, awaiting its final blow. No need to rush, at Uroko, you can relax, sit, eat, drink, be merry - there is plenty of fish to fry and cheap booze to imbibe. So why not make an evening of it? Vegetarians beware!-Stephen Lebovits
