Manchinro Honten, Yokohama

Manchinro is a long-established purveyor of traditional Cantonese cuisine. Located in the heart of Chinatown, and a leisurely ten-minute walk from Ishikawa-cho Station, Manchinro is one of the oldest and most popular Cantonese restaurants in Yokohama. The interior can best be described as traditional Chinese decor. There are large round tables for communal dining. Painted silk screens divide the room. The sweet and sour dishes are legendary, as are the seafood entrees. As with all of Chinatown's best dining spots, Manchinro's prices reflect the superb quality of both its food and service. The lunch menu is a bit more mercifully priced and boasts an incredible selection of dim sum. Also on hand is a large selection of Chinese beers, as well as Japanese beers.
