Overview
In the middle of Honmoku Shimin Park is a tensyadai (turntable) for changing the direction a train was going in or directing it into sheds or sidings. Next to it is a steam-powered locomotive, type D51, nicknamed "Degoich," which means "D51" in Japanese. The train is open for children (and railway enthusiasts) to climb in the cab. -AH
