Yokohama Media Tower is a 22-story building, 150 meters high, with crowned with a communication tower. The antenna on the communication tower is to be used for broadcasts in the event of an earthquake to coordinate disaster prevention administration for the city of Yokohama. On the 1st and 2nd floors there is the NTT Yokohama Yudenchi, which is a museum devoted to telecommunication. The center has exhibits that depict history of information communication technology, from the earliest telegraphs and telephones to the latest in cell phones, or keitai. There are also lots of exhibits and games focusing on the future of information communication technology. Admission to the NTT Yokohama Yudenchi is 100 yen for adults, and 50 yen for students. The rest of the building serves as Kanagawa prefecture's base for NTT Docomo.
