Cotai Strip, Macau

The luxury center of Macau, the Cotai Strip was modeled on that of Las Vegas, although on a considerably smaller scale. It's a shopping and gambling mecca - residents include The Venetian, the Galaxy Resort, and many luxurious hotels including the Four Seasons, Shangri-La and the Hilton. The 2008 financial crisis slowed down development, meaning that some site plans will most likely now be abandoned. The first luxury shopping mall on the island, the Shoppes at the Four Seasons, is one of many reasons to visit the strip, along with the top-class restaurants, glamor, bright lights and endless entertainment.
