After taking in the sights of S. Francisco Barracks, there is an opportunity to sit and relax in these nearby gardens. Laid out on two levels, this green patch in the heart of Macau is a favorite haunt of school kids on their breaks and at lunchtime. On the upper level of the gardens there is a tower that was built to commemorate those that gave their lives in World War I. These days the same building houses the Association for the Handicapped. Also close by is the Clube Militar, a great place for some great Portuguese cuisine.
