A row of single-story, adjoining roadside stalls come into view past the Sultan Aminah Hospital along the Straits front road near Lido Beach. The Tepian Tebrau Hawker Centre hosts about a dozen eateries serving authentic local Malay fare, such as longtong, tom yam soup, laksa, and nasi lemak. Home-cooked seafood dishes are the specialty here. Ample parking space immediately in front of the stalls makes it a highly convenient spot for a quick meal, or order to-go. Alternatively, sit down to a glass of the ubiquitous teh tarik and enjoy the splendid and complimentary views of the Johor Straits. Occasionally street musicians will perform, adding to the pleasant and laid-back atmosphere.
