One of Kuala Lumpur's best fine dining restaurants and certainly one of the best in the city for premium seafood, High Tide is a worthy gourmet destination. The modern, glass fronted building, surrounded by lush green vegetation, conjures up the blend of modernism and exoticism that is also found inside the restaurant (complete with aquariums, and stark, Warhol-esque etchings on the walls). The cuisine is French-led mostly - try the sole in bouillabaisse broth - with an unmistakable use of Asian spices and flair. Chef Evert Onderbeke was mentored by two-time Michelin starred chef Roger Souvereyns and his expertise is evident in the small touches, the startling and unexpected flavors.
