Shang Palace is located within the classy Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, right in the heart of the city. The color theme for this place is predominantly in the imperial-yellow Chinese motifs, exuding an ambiance of fine dining. There are tables with a view for the non-smokers, and the restaurant uses fresh ingredients in the preparation of their extensive a la carte menu. Dim sum is their pride, especially the Har Kow (steamed shrimp dumplings) and Char Siew Bau (pork buns). Other recommendations include the double-boiled chicken and sea whelk soup with cordyceps.
