Barn Thai Langkawi

Have you dined in a mangrove swamp? If not, this is your chance. Located about 10 kilometres from Kuah is this unique restaurant accessible only by a 450-metre walkway through a swamp. The interior is wooden and rustic with high ceiling and a skylight, providing natural lighting. To minimise destruction to the surroundings, building was done around the mangrove trees (some are even left inside). The menu blends Western and Eastern cuisines. Highlights are the spicy Thai dishes and soothing jazz music. Enjoy the food, plus the flora and fauna on the patio overlooking the river. Extensive liquor menu.
