Overview
Nestled amidst the mangrove swamps of Sungai Kilim, north—east of Langkawi, is Gua Kelawar. This cave takes the shape of a long tunnel, approximately 60 metres long and is so named because of its inhabitants—the fruit bats. A wooden platform runs right through the cave providing easy access for visitors. Gua Kelawar is reached by a 90-minute boat ride from Kuah town to the river and then to the mangrove swamps. On the way, enjoy the views of spectacular hills and limestone cliffs.
