Discovery Cafe, Malacca

Popular with tourists and locals alike, Discovery Café's brightly painted facade is hard to miss. Besides free internet access, cable TV, a pool table, dart and carom games, it also stocks many travel guides. The Day-Glo decor spans three floors of a renovated pre-war shop house, spilling into an adjoining open-air courtyard decked with barbecue benches and palm trees.
