This dim sum teahouse along Cintra Street, or "Jit-Pun Kay," recalling the early 20th century when it was a Japanese red-light district, opens early. The interior is not extraordinary, the proprietor follows the typically Chinese sensibility of investing in quality food, not fancy tablecloths and once you taste his creations, you will understand why. Dim sum favorites har gao and siew mai are available but since you made it here, try some of the dishes that test the cook's culinary standards such as the delicate steamed pork ribs and chicken claws dishes. On this count De Tai Tong gets a thumbs up.
