A large imposing building, the Chinese stone lions that guard the entrance appear dwarfed by exhibits of antiquity, tradition and religion, many seeming out of place in this world of surf and sand. The serious and patient souvenir hunter of oriental curios may chance upon a gem or two among the myriad of items. Paintings by local artists include street scenes from Penang and still life subjects and are available framed and unframed.
